Delicious No-Tomato Ketchup Alternative Recipe

Features:
    Cuisine:

Excellent! My husband began a low oxalate diet, so I hoped to find a recipe without tomatoes. I did have to omit the carrots, and instead of pears, I just used homemade canned applesauce. I also made homemade cranberry sauce, which became nice and smooth in the Vitamix. I kept all the spices as written, except for reducing the salt to 3-1/2 teaspoons. We both thought we really couldn't tell any discernable difference between regular tomato-based ketchup and this. In fact, if anything, we both preferred this over store-bought tomato ketchup. Thanks for a great recipe which opens up a lot of options for us!
