The Best Mocha Buttercream Frosting / Icing, This is definitely the best frosting I have ever had. I am in love with it! Perfect texture….nothing like store bought! It is wonderful on everything!!!, The mocha buttercream is wonderful. used 2 Tbs organic instant coffee dissolved in about 1 Tbs hot water. Then I cooled the extract. I also used 400 g of icing sugar, a bit more than just 3 cups. 3 cups qual to 360 g. I did not want to have the icing too soft. I like to taste the coffee in the buttercream. I cannot believe how easy is this recipe to make. It was enough to ice 1 layer, the sides, the top and to make my little clumsy roses on the top. For the second layer I just whipped some heavy cream with a bit of espresso powder. But the buttercream tastes so much better than the whipped cream.
