Beef Souvlaki

Features:
    Cuisine:

We had dinner at a fabulous Greek restaurant the other night. The beef and chicken Souvlaki melted in my mouth. I'm all about recreating at home for a couple of reasons, cost is a factor, but preparing a meal and sharing it with family is the ultimate joy in my book. I purchased tri-tip steaks, cut them into good size chunks and put them in a zip lock with the marinade for 2 days. UNBELIEVABLE!!! The marinade broke down the protein of the meat making it like butter, the flavor was fantastic. I made a large Greek salad, rice, and roasted peppers and tomatoes just like the restaurant. Will I go back to the restaurant, absolutely, so I can try something else and recreate it at home!!!

We’ll try it again with chicken or pork. Thanks for posting.
