Comfort Food Beef Stew

Features:
    Cuisine:

A really great stew! Fixed it for dinner, family liked it. Family wanted it for lunch the next day, and asked if any was left for dinner that night. I did deviate from the recipe a bit..... a heaping teaspoon of beef base in the water, and 1/3 cup of red wine before adding the veggies. Will definitely make it again.

Comfort Food Beef Stew,This is one of our winter favorites!!,A really great stew! Fixed it for dinner, family liked it. Family wanted it for lunch the next day, and asked if any was left for dinner that night. I did deviate from the recipe a bit….. a heaping teaspoon of beef base in the water, and 1/3 cup of red wine before adding the veggies. Will definitely make it again.,This recipe is fantastic! Simple ingredients. Simple preparation. Nothing beats it. A few changes I made is that I added beef broth instead of water and added around 1/3 of the vegetables in the first step to increase the flavor of the broth. I doubled the recipe because I love leftovers. I also added 1/2 cup red wine to both simmers. I omitted red peppers and added green beans.
