Delicious Tandoori-Style Sweet Potatoes Recipe

Features:
    Cuisine:

What a delicious way to turn ordinary sweet potatoes into a flavorful side dish. I went to an Indian market looking for tandoori paste, but I couldn't find it. They told me to use a tandoori marinade (by Patek) and it turned out great. I did add the additional rep pepper flakes, which gave the sweet potatoes a nice kick in addition to the great flavor. We all really enjoyed the sesame seeds, too. Made in loving memory of SusieD.

Tasty Tandoori Sweet Potatoes,This easy recipe adds an India inspired touch to a meal. The cubes of sweet potato are low in fat & oven baked. I like them with the additional red pepper flakes, but they are optional.,What a delicious way to turn ordinary sweet potatoes into a flavorful side dish. I went to an Indian market looking for tandoori paste, but I couldn’t find it. They told me to use a tandoori marinade (by Patek) and it turned out great. I did add the additional rep pepper flakes, which gave the sweet potatoes a nice kick in addition to the great flavor. We all really enjoyed the sesame seeds, too. Made in loving memory of SusieD.,My market did not carry the paste, but I was able to make one from a spice mix they had. It was very spicy, so I did not add pepper flakes. After 20 minutes, I added a diced red bell pepper that was hanging around. It all worked together beautifully. I might try adding a little brown sugar next time, as I do like a spicy-sweet combo, too. Made for the cook-a-thon in honor of Susie D.
