Homemade Apple Pancake Inspired by The Original Pancake House

Features:

A definite keeper. I appreciate everyones suggestions but really liked the recipe as posted. Very easy to bake bacon at same time. While I am saying this, I do have to admit while waiting for the batter to cook, I prepared the apples soaking in fresh sour Orange juice. In the last ten minutes I sprinkled with pecan pieces which I see in the original picture here. I served with a chai latte.

The Original Pancake House Apple Pancake,Found this online while searching for TOPH recipes. Fabulous recipe from The Original Pancake House! The Apple Pancake contains eggs, flour, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, butter and lots of apples. It takes about 30 minutes to bake in an iron skillet and is served all puffed up and steaming hot. The Apple Pancake really isnt much like a pancake at all. Its more a like a souffl or really, really moist bread pudding. The only way to truly appreciate it is to try one yourself.,A definite keeper. I served with a chai latte.,This is probably delicious but this recipe makes nothing close to the Apple Pancake served at the Original Pancake House. This is merely a Dutch Baby with apples on top. The OPH cooks the apples in the pan, pours the batter on top, then bakes it and turns it upside down to serve. There are some tricks to doing it right, and they are absolutely not represented here.
