Pumpkin Pie Squares

Features:
    Cuisine:

I've made this recipe for years, but have always omitted the nut topping (my kids don't like nuts). I have adjusted the cooking times to 12-15 minutes for the oatmeal crust. After adding the filling, bake 60-70 minutes more, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. use less cloves (1/4 tsp works well). This dessert tastes best after cooling in the frig. I like that it is so easy to halve the recipe and cook in an 8x8 glass baking dish. Top with whipped cream, and it's wonderful!
