The Ultimate Lasagna Recipe – A Family Favorite

Features:
    Cuisine:

This really is a tasty recipe. It has become my Go-To. My only tweak is use 40 oz of my favorit store-bought Spaghetti sauce. I confess I get confused about the layers - specifically the TOP final layer. I always puts a little sauce on the noodles before topping off with the last of the Mozzarella cheese. And I also find that it does indeed take just 12 noodles in a 9x13 dish = 4 layers of noodles total.

Searching for the ultimate lasagna recipe? Look no further than our **Absolute Best Ever Lasagna**. This mouth-watering dish has quickly become a beloved staple in my family’s kitchen. Bursting with rich, meaty flavors, this lasagna is made even more delicious with a creamy layer of cottage cheese, although ricotta cheese is an excellent substitute if you prefer.

    #### Tips for the Best Lasagna:

    – **Layers**: Make sure to put a little sauce on the noodles before topping off with the last of the mozzarella cheese.

    – **Uncooked Noodles**: Start with a bit of sauce on the bottom of the dish, then place uncooked noodles over the sauce. Continue to layer as per the recipe. The noodles will cook perfectly, absorbing excess liquids and ensuring the lasagna isn’t watery.

    – **Perfect Texture**: Using uncooked noodles helps prevent a watery end product, resulting in a lasagna with the ideal texture.

    **Customer Review:**

“This really is a tasty recipe; it has become my go-to. My only tweak is to use 40 oz of my favorite store-bought spaghetti sauce. I always get confused about the layers, specifically the top final layer. I always put a little sauce on the noodles before topping off with the last of the mozzarella cheese. And I also find that it does indeed take just 12 noodles in a 9×13 dish = 4 layers of noodles total. The filling was very good but the end product was a bit ‘watery’ for my tastes. One thing I would recommend is to NOT cook the noodles! I’ve been doing this for years and haven’t yet been disappointed. Start with a bit of sauce on the bottom, place uncooked noodles over the sauce, and continue to layer as suggested. The noodles will be the perfect texture and will soak up the liquid from the sauce/filling.”
