Source: Burt Wolf’s Local Flavors, Wooster, Ohio, I made these to use up 1 cup of buttermilk that I had on hand I just doubled the recipe and made a dozen These are good as moist chocolate cupcakes I had to bake mine 18 minutes and I would say they would be best with either powdered sugar on top or frosting

This is our family favorite at Christmas! And its hard to make enough! Tip: I just discovered its easier to cut the whole pound of bacon in half - while its still in the package. Leave the bread slices whole and place each on two half bacon slices. Spread the mushroom soup on the slice. Then roll the bacon slices and bread. Secure each bacon slice with a toothpick and then cut the bread in two. Its much faster than cutting the bread in half first. This is our family favorite at Christmas! And its hard to make enough!
