    After reading the rave reviews, I was really looking forward to this. Very disappointed. This tastes nothing like chicken tortilla soup. After tasting, I added about 1/2 tsp of ground cumin and 1 tbs of chili powder, but still lacking 'zip'. Eventually added a can of Rotel. Passable, but won't bother with it again.

    Chicken Tortilla Soup (Vita Mix), You can’t beat making soup start to finish in 10 minutes This is easy no peeling and very quick great main meal or snack! And you don’t cook out all the vitamins because it’s not simmering on the stove for hours Clean up is easy just the Vita-Mix The results are hot which you can’t get in a blender or food processor The first half becomes smooth and cream while the second half added on low speed gives the soup texture Oh almost forgot thanks to Alan Hall for the recipe, the guy that sold me the machine , After reading the rave reviews, I was really looking forward to this Very disappointed This tastes nothing like chicken tortilla soup After tasting, I added about 1/2 tsp of ground cumin and 1 tbs of chili powder, but still lacking ‘zip’ Eventually added a can of Rotel Passable, but won’t bother with it again , I added a little taco seasoning and tortilla chips, but otherwise did the recipe verbatim I did have to run the vitamin for 7 or 8 minutes to get hot You could start with warm broth instead to seeped it up Awesome soup!
